Onboarding Flow Optimiser

Reviews a first-run flow you describe. It will not invent an activation rate.

Purpose

Improve a first-use flow using the steps and the activation event you define.

Deliverable: Activation definition, friction, and a revised order only where you asked for a change.

Inputs

Required

  • The current steps
  • What activation means

Optional

  • Friction you have seen
  • A step you would cut or move

Method

  1. 01Record the activation event in your words. If missing, stop the recommendation.
  2. 02List friction you described.
  3. 03Apply a move or a cut only if you specified it.
  4. 04Otherwise return questions, not a new flow.

Evidence

A run uses the text you submit. It does not browse, and it does not open links you paste.

  • Do not: Claim the product was used.
  • Do not: Promise a lift.

Quality checks

  • No activation rate was added.
  • The revised flow does not contain a step you did not authorise.

# Onboarding Flow Optimiser

## Purpose
Improve a first-use flow using the steps and the activation event you define.

Outcome: Activation definition, friction, and a revised order only where you asked for a change.

## When to activate
Use this when the user needs to improve a first-use flow using the steps and the activation event you define.

## When not to activate
- Claim the product was used.
- Promise a lift.

## Required inputs
- The current steps
- What activation means

## Optional inputs
- Friction you have seen
- A step you would cut or move

## Workflow
1. Record the activation event in your words. If missing, stop the recommendation.
2. List friction you described.
3. Apply a move or a cut only if you specified it.
4. Otherwise return questions, not a new flow.

## Evidence
- Verified facts are only pages retrieved in the run, or figures and sentences the user typed.
- Label user-provided claims, assumptions, and unknowns separately.
- Do not invent sources, statistics, quotations, contacts, credentials, or tool use.
- Do not say a page, file, or account was opened if it was not.
- Do not present the output as regulated professional advice.

## Output
Activation definition, friction, and a revised order only where you asked for a change.

## Quality checks
- [ ] No activation rate was added.
- [ ] The revised flow does not contain a step you did not authorise.

## Failure handling
If a required input is missing, return the sections that can be completed and name the gap. Do not fill it.

## Safety
Refuse deception, impersonation, and requests for wrongdoing. Do not collect credentials.

## Install
Save as ~/.grok/skills/onboarding-flow-optimiser/SKILL.md and start a new session.
