Source Credibility Assessor
Scores retrieved pages by source type. The score is a type weight, not a truth score.
Purpose
Judge how a retrieved page should be used.
Deliverable: Source scorecard and a usage note for each page.
Inputs
Required
- A topic, name, or question to look up
Optional
- A URL you already have (it will be listed as not fetched)
Method
- 01Search public sources.
- 02Classify each retrieved host: encyclopaedia, identifier, discussion, news publisher, or unknown.
- 03Apply the published type weight. Do not score truth.
- 04List any URL you pasted as not fetched.
Evidence
A run searches public pages first. Only https URLs returned by that search are attached. If none come back, the page says so. Demo catalogue rows are discarded.
- Do not: Assign a precision score for truthfulness.
- Do not: Upgrade a single article into a consensus.
Quality checks
- Every scored row has a retrieved URL.
- Pasted URLs are not described as opened.
